So even though I have much of this information in our Terms & Conditions, I thought I would spell it out in more detail, in an easier to read, and easier to digest form.

The cost of “leasing” space on our Virtual Private Server (VPS) is $685/yr, but what does this buy you?

  • As much Disk Space as you need.

This means that as your website grows, you will always have enough storage space for whatever your needs are, at no additional cost.

  • Double the Memory compared to standard Shared Hosting.

So instead of 512MB, you get 1,024MB of available RAM.

  • 3 x CPU Cores instead of 2.

So if you get a lot of traffic and/or load, there is plenty of grunt to handle it.

  • As many email addresses as you want.

    Yep. Unlimited Email Addresses.

  • Unlimited Data Transfer.

As much data transfer to and from from website as required.

  • cPanel Access.

So you can add or remove email accounts, change passwords, and everything else you normally do in cPanel.

  • Full Weekly Backup’s.

Once a week a Full backup of the entire website including WordPress, SQL Database, Images, Files etc is undertaken.

  • SQL Database Weekly Backup’s.

Every week a backup of the WordPress Database is undertaken.

  • WordPress Website updates.

As WordPress, Plug-in, and Theme updates become available, they are updated and installed.

  • A FREE SSL Certificate.

Meaning your website is secure because traffic to and from your website is encrypted and your website will be prefixed with https:// instead of http://.

  • FREE WP-Rocket Plug-in.

That’s FREE installation and setup of the caching and performance optimisation plugin WP-Rocket which improves the loading speed of WordPress websites. This represents a US$49 per year bonus to all those who choose VPS Hosting.

  • iThemes Security Plugin.

FREE version of the Number 1 WordPress Security Plug-in, iThemes Security. Installed and configured to help protect your website. It provides 30+ ways to secure and protect your WordPress Website. On average, 30,000 new websites are hacked each day. WordPress sites can be an easy target for attacks because of plugin vulnerabilities, weak passwords and obsolete software.

The bottom line, what does all this mean?

You will have a more secure, faster loading website, on a Server that I directly control instead of the Hosting Provider.
